How are the designs made?

Each design is created by me and is the result of manual work, specifically cutting paper and cardboard. This means that each element, whether shape, figure, or letter, is cut manually with different scissors and paper cutters. Then I arrange the elements to create harmony between them and finish the process by gluing them together until I have the final design in collage form. It is then professionally digitized in Lagoa, Algarve, without losing the typical characteristics of a handmade work. After digitization, the design is printed on high-quality paper or applied and stamped onto various products using different techniques: from manual screen printing to digital UV printing.

About me

My name is Christine and I love paper, colours and hand lettering. I was born and raised in southern Germany (near Stuttgart) and have been living in Portugal since 2012. After a few years in Greater Lisbon, I settled in the Algarve in 2019, where I work and live with my dog and cat to this day. I have a degree in Languages (Portuguese and Spanish linguistics) and Anthropology from LMU, Munich and UC, Coimbra, and worked for many years as a tour guide in Portugal, the Azores and Brazil. The Covid-19 pandemic forced me to stay at home for a long time. That's when I started to devote myself wholeheartedly to what I've loved doing since I was a child: inventing drawings and working with paper and colours. It was during this initial phase that many of my postcards with optimistic and motivational messages emerged. After many drawings were made and digitised, I created my brand Raposa Art in 2020. Today, I devote myself exclusively to my art and let myself be inspired by nature, from the sea to the mountains, the colours of the Algarve and the adventures of everyday life.
